EXTIMITÉ
Le concept d'"extimité" a été ma source d'inspiration pour créer une pièce de joaillerie qui reflète notre intimité. Ce terme va au-delà de la simple représentation extérieure, dévoilant ce que nous avons de plus intime. Le bijou, par sa nature intime, devient le moyen de partager cette extimité. Il nous expose au monde tout en préservant une part de notre vie privée. J'ai conçu un collier extravagant, une rivière de pierres qui se complète parfaitement avec un décolleté, symbolisant la rencontre entre l'intimité de la chair et l'ostentation des pierres précieuses. Les formes variées des pierres représentent la diversité de ce que nous avons de plus intime. En portant ce bijou, on se découvre tout en se mettant en scène, un équilibre entre exhibition, désir et paraître.
The word "extimacy" served as my guiding inspiration to create a piece of jewelry that reflects our intimacy. Stemming from a term I wasn't familiar with, yet one that touches us all, it goes beyond mere appearance to reveal our most intimate aspects. So, I attempted to craft a jewelry piece that mirrors this concept. "Extimacy" involves unveiling our innermost selves, and by definition, a piece of jewelry is intimate, worn close to the body. It is also a term marked by tension, torn between the act of exposing oneself and choosing which part of our private life to reveal, a characteristic shared by jewelry. It opens us up to the world while concealing a part of us, as it adorns and covers. It all made perfect sense. To showcase the beauty within us, we need something brilliant, something visible enough to proclaim our radiance to the world. I sought to create a piece that balances exhibition, desire, and appearance—a necklace, for there is nothing more ostentatious and sensual. A necklace, or rather a river of stones, complemented by a neckline that unveils the intimacy of the flesh and the splendor of the gemstones. Thinking grand, I selected stones of various shapes, mirroring the diverse facets of our most intimate selves. The act of wearing the jewelry prompts self-discovery, as it simultaneously adorns and stages itself, echoing the deliberate nature in which we present our intimacy.

Des dizaines de diamants plus beaux les uns que les autres, qui symbolisent la manière dont notre intimité intérieure peut briller de mille feux lorsqu'elle est partagée avec le monde. Des diamants de plusieurs tailles car on se montre sous toutes ses formes et on soigne son apparition sous toutes ses facettes. Un saphir bleu sans entourage car on se livre au monde. Une pierre rare et presque transparente, représentant la clarté de l'âme. Symbolisant la vérité intérieure que l'on choisit de partager avec le monde. Et pas n'importe où. Posée délicatement sur notre plexus, là où nos émotions prennent vie, le cœur de nos énergies. Un bijou fluide, puissant et ostentatoire car notre beauté intérieure est lourde à porter.

Diamonds of various sizes, representing the idea of presenting ourselves in all our forms and carefully curating our appearance from every angle. A blue sapphire, unaccompanied, as a gesture of surrendering oneself to the world. A rare and nearly transparent stone, symbolizing the clarity of the soul. It represents the inner truth that we choose to share with the world, and not just anywhere. Placed delicately on our plexus, where our emotions come to life—the heart of our energies. A fluid, powerful, and ostentatious jewel because our inner beauty is weighty to bear.
Un bijou qui symbolise aussi la connexion entre l'âme et le monde qui l'entoure. Et qui, comme nous, est versatile et se porte de plusieurs manières pour révéler notre intimité sous toutes ses coutures. Je ne voyais ce bijou être porté que par moi évidemment, ou par l'une de mes muses. Qui elle aussi a mis en scène son intimité et a marqué l'histoire. En portant la robe la plus iconique du cinéma français.

I envisioned this jewel to be worn only by me, naturally, or by one of my muses. Someone who, like me, has staged her intimacy and left a mark on history by wearing the most iconic dress in French cinema.
