SALAMMBÔ

Créer un bijou à partir d'un orient rêvé, d'une femme-soleil qui, à chaque pas, illumine de sa beauté. Créer un bijou qui, par son harmonie, pourrait captiver une femme comme un homme qui souhaiterait l'ajouter à sa propre beauté. Pour ce projet, celui de s'inspirer du personnage de Salammbô de Gustave Flaubert, j'ai capturé l'essence de ce qui faisait rêver : une terre ensoleillée, un rayonnement que j'ai traduit par un motif reprenant les couleurs de cette reine aux allures de Mata Hari. Des formes rappelant un orient géométrique, tel que de nombreux joailliers le dessinaient au début du 20ème siècle, s'inspirant du Manuel d'Art Musulman. Un collier reprenant la forme des écailles chantées dans ce poème. Simplicité et beauté pour révéler un bijou se portant en parure, en pendentif, en boucle d'oreille, en bracelet. Deux pièces de laiton travaillées en repercé pour épouser et faire rayonner deux pierres, qui représentent l'homme et la femme, liées par des cascades de pierres symbolisant leur amour et chaque moment passé l'un à côté de l'autre. Avec deux gouttes en pendant, accompagnant les pas du porteur en dansant. Or, pourpre et rouge, les mêmes couleurs que celles décrites dans ce poème où l'orient se rêve éveillé.

Create a jewel from a dreamed orient, from a sun-woman who, with every step, illuminates with her beauty. Create a jewel that, through its harmony, could captivate a woman as a man who wishes to add it to his own beauty. For this project, inspired by the character of Salammbô from Gustave Flaubert, I have captured the essence of what made one dream: a sunlit land, a radiance that I translated into a motif echoing the colors of this queen reminiscent of Mata Hari. Shapes reminiscent of a geometric orient, as many jewelers drew at the beginning of the 20th century, inspired by the Manual of Muslim Art. A necklace taking the form of scales sung in this poem. Simplicity and beauty to reveal a jewel worn as an ornament, a pendant, an earring, a bracelet. Two pieces of brass worked in pierced work to embrace and make two stones shine, representing the man and the woman, bound by cascades of stones symbolizing their love and every moment spent side by side. With two drops hanging, accompanying the wearer's steps in dance. Gold, purple, and red, the same colors as those described in this poem where the orient dreams awake.
